Luke has lived in Ladysmith since 1972. He has provided over 20 years of service to the Ladysmith General Hospital from 1972 to 1993 as the Chief Medical Laboratory Technologist. Luke obtained his Real Estate Salesperson's License in 1993 and has gained his experience from Companies like Hammond & McKinnon Real Estate Services (1993) and Remax (1994-99). Luke obtained his Broker Agent's license in 1999 and opened Island Homes Realty. Luke is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and an active member of his community. SUE PERREY

Sue was born and raised in the interior of B.C., in an area called the "Cariboo" and she had the opportunity to live in many areas of B.C. Sue's experience and knowledge of real estate in different parts of our province afford her some insight on the local real estate market.

Sue grew up living and learning the subtleties of real estate from her father, a retired real estate professional. This experience has been very helpful in her career as a professional realtor. Living on Vancouver Island for the past ten years has allowed Sue to become involved with the construction, development, and selling of significant properties.

JILLIAN DASHWOOD

Jill, an Islander by birth, has lived in the Nanaimo/Ladysmith area since 1980. Growing up in Victoria and then spending 8 years in New Zealand, Jill enjoys the outdoors and all that Island life provides.

Jill has been a Realtor since 1990 and prides herself in her ability to search out that PERFECT house for her clients. "Taking the time to care" is her motto and she lives by her word.

Jill has always worked with people, whether in retail, sports (squash club management), bar and restaurant management and now real estate. Family is also very important to Jill - who enjoys the companionship of an adult blended family and seven grandchildren.

HELENA BOWEN

I have spent half my working career in Ontario, working in finance as an Accountant for an engineering firm. Also working part-time in interior decorating with Eatons Custom Interiors. I relocated to Yellowknife and worked for 10 years in customer service with Canadian Airlines. I am currently living in the Chemainus/Ladysmith area of Vancouver Island, after relocating in 2004 with my retired husband John and my 3 dogs, Cabo, Tindi and Lucie.

ERNIE TYSOWSKI

Ernie capped off his successful career of thirty years in the ski business on the torch as it were, by creating and running a national training program to improve the knowledge level of ski shop employees across the country. From concept to implementation Ernie ran this program for many years sharing his experience and knowledge with countless other technicians in Canada and the United States.

Ernie also was the Technical Editor for Ski Canada Magazine for many years during the same time frame coordinating massive amounts of information and test results every new ski season. Ernie's technical expertise and hands on approach was most especially focused in the area of boot fitting earning him the reputation as of the best ski boot fitters in North America. As a consequence Ernie was requested many times to bring his expertise to different avenues in the ski industry as a consultant, technician and trainer.

Ernie's tenure in the ski business developed his strong people skills and attention for detail bringing them to a focus which Ernie redirected to the real estate business. Ernie then helped the many friends that he had made over the years in buying and selling their homes and resort properties.

Ernie stayed in touch with the community volunteering his time to teach Cross Country skiing and to lead mountain bike rides for novices. Ernie was also in Whistler with charitable fund raisers volunteering his time for such events as the Heart and Stroke Foundation Annual Big Bike Ride.

Ernie's return to the Island brings him closer to his family and still lets him enjoy his favorite pastimes of sailing, golf, skiing and biking.

LESLEY WHITE

Lesley was born in Ontario and grew up in Scotland, later returning to Canada and settling in Ladysmith. Over the last 10 years she has gained experience in renovating properties and is eager to share this passion and knowledge. Lesley loves homes, not only for their unique style, but also for what they represent: a loving family environment. Lesley was drawn to Ladysmith because of its inclusive, warm, friendly community, ideal for raising her family, and possessing breathtaking views and historic heritage.

TOM ANDREWS

Tom grew up in Quebec and first came to Vancouver Island on a summer adventure in 1968 when he hitch-hiked from Montreal to the West Coast and back. The beautiful scenery, warm climate and easy going lifestyle brought him back many times on business and pleasure trips, including a visit to the Malahat in 1996 when he married his wife Heather. They moved to the Island permanently in 2006 and currently live in Chemainus.

Tom's extensive customer service experience with a major Canadian railway and the fact that he moved across Canada several times have contributed to his real estate expertise in customer satisfaction. His attention to detail and constant communication throughout the process of buying and selling a home will make your real estate experience positive and stress free.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys golfing at the Mt. Brenton Golf Club and volunteering at the Chemainus Health Care Centre and Steeples Senior's Residence.
